These are my
attempts at trying to just paint. Then I add ink to compare. So far I'm leaning to the ink!

I'm loving using ink. Usually I put on the paint, and then use ink. I've been trying different colors of ink. The purple is my fav after black. I've also done wet on wet and added salt

These two paintings are ones that I did late summer for a friend of my daughter's. I've never done paintings for anyone and it reminded me of making a set of clay canisters for a woman years ago. Stress producing. She had them framed, but I haven't seen them yet.  They are from pics I took on Edisto Island.

I needed to send a thank you note, so used Strathmore blank cards for this note card. M Graham paint and ink!  It's still raining today, April showers......

Balcony in Italy from a few years ago. I think it was in Rome. I thought I wouldn't like Rome, don't ask me why, but is was the most beautiful city.  I hope I'll get back there someday.

In honor of Tracy's drawing - gone wild. It's like doing stream of conscious writing with a pen. I started with a wash and then drew from that.
Wash then ink. Edisto Marsh.

This painting is one of several I've painted after artist Segonzac. I love his composition and subject matter.  It lends well to watercolor and ink. I've taken liberties by leaving objects out and changing some colors, but basically it is a copy.
